Creative Siding runs licensed Fiber Cement Siding crews for homes and businesses in McMechen, WV. You call, you talk to someone who knows the trade, you get a written number.
Creative Siding runs its own crews under one owner, one standard, one phone number. If something needs a follow-up call in year three, you're calling the same business, not chasing down a franchise office.
A lot of what gets marketed as "local" in this industry is really a national lead-generation operation that resells your information to whoever bids highest for the territory that week — we're not that, and we never have been.
We check licensing and background before anyone gets sent to your address, not after a complaint. Skip that step and you get callbacks, voided warranties, and homeowners paying twice.
Some jobs come from storm damage, some come from a homeowner who's simply had enough of siding that's been failing slowly for a decade. Selling you more than the job requires isn't how we've stayed in business this long.
A fair number of our new customers come to us after a bad experience with someone else, and the first thing we do is figure out what actually went wrong before touching anything. We turn down tight deadlines that would mean skipping proper flashing or moisture barriers, because that corner always resurfaces within a year or two.
By the time siding looks obviously bad from the curb, the damage underneath is usually further along than it appears.
Here's the full breakdown of what we handle.
Hail and high wind don't wait for business hours, and neither does our emergency line. We seal and board exposed sections the same day, then schedule the permanent fix around your timeline.
We've seen homeowners wait a week for a "regular" appointment and end up needing structural repair work that a same-day seal would have prevented entirely.
One cracked panel or a full tear-off — residential jobs get walked in person before a number gets written down. Not every home needs the premium option, and we'll say so if that's the case.
Partial repairs move faster, often same-week, since there's no full tear-off or house wrap involved.
Property managers need a contractor who hits the agreed schedule, not one that disappears mid-project. Weekly progress updates are standard on anything multi-unit or larger.
If your management company needs specific documentation before signing off, tell us during the estimate and we'll have it ready.
We also handle soffit, fascia, and trim so the finished exterior reads as one job, not a patch on an older one. Corner posts, J-channel, and detail work get priced into the same estimate, not tacked on as a surprise later.
More often than not, it can be — it just takes someone willing to source the right profile instead of defaulting to whatever's easiest to install.
Every job starts as a phone conversation, not a sales script — call +1-844-782-0929.
Not every home needs the most expensive option on the shelf, and we'd rather explain the real trade-offs than push whatever carries the highest margin. We install all of the following, and we'll say honestly which one makes sense for your situation.
Engineered wood gives the wood-grain look without the maintenance schedule that real wood demands. That's part of why we walk the property in person before recommending a material — a photo doesn't show which side of the house takes the worst weather.
A twenty-five-year warranty sounds identical from one company to the next until you read what actually voids it, and we walk through that with every homeowner before they commit to a material.
Here's what separates a written estimate from a verbal guess.
Most of what separates a good siding job from a bad one doesn't show up on install day — it shows up eighteen months later when a warranty either holds up or doesn't, when a repair either lasts or fails again, when the company you called either still exists or has changed names twice.
| Category | With Creative Siding | Typical Contractor |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing | Written, itemized estimate before work starts | Verbal ballpark, line items added later |
| Licensing | Verified WV license, shown on request | "Trust me" — no documentation offered |
| Response Time | Estimates scheduled within 48 hours | Days of unreturned calls |
| Crew | Trained, background-checked, employed directly | Rotating day-labor subcontractors |
| Warranty | Manufacturer-backed, documented in writing | Verbal promise, hard to enforce |
| Cleanup | Daily debris removal, protected landscaping | Cleanup "at the end," if at all |
None of this is complicated, and none of it should be unusual — it's just easy to skip when nobody's checking, and there's no state agency showing up to verify that a contractor actually followed through on any of it.
"Every other quote I got was a round figure with no breakdown — this one had material and labor listed separately."
"A storm took off a whole section of our siding on a Friday night and someone actually picked up the emergency line."
"Tenants stayed through the whole project and nobody complained."
"Another contractor told us we needed a full tear-off — this crew looked at it and said a repair would hold for years."
"Switched to insulated vinyl and the next bill actually showed the difference."
"The estimator answered every question directly instead of dodging the ones that were inconvenient."
"Got quoted a full replacement by two other companies before calling here — they took one look and said a partial repair would do the job."
These are the ten questions that come up most often during estimate calls, answered the same way we'd answer them on the phone.
Emergency calls are typically seen the same day, especially if water is actively getting in.
Material and labor costs are broken out separately, not lumped together.
The goal on an emergency call is always stopping the damage before scheduling the full repair.
We won't guess a number over the phone — a free on-site estimate gives you something real, not a ballpark.
Documentation is available before the job starts if you'd like to see it.
If an exact match isn't available, we'll say so before starting the repair, not after.
You don't have to manage the claims process alone.
Commercial and multi-family jobs run longer and are scheduled in phases.
Vinyl is more affordable and performs well for most homes in this area.
Most siding work is exterior-only, so being home for the full job isn't required.
We cover McMechen and the towns nearby, not just the downtown core. Reach out at +1-844-782-0929 and we'll tell you straight if your address is in range.
We've worked on everything from brand-new construction to homes old enough that the original siding predates most manufacturer warranties still being written today.
